Third Party Data Policy
Guidelines for Third Party Data Requests and Service of Legal Documents
The following guidelines aim to provide private parties, including civil litigants and criminal defendants, with information on the legal process for obtaining records from Driveree App. Please note that these are only guidelines and the information provided is subject to change. These guidelines are applicable to non-law enforcement requests. For law enforcement requests, we recommend referring to the Guidelines for Law Enforcement Authorities.
Where should I send legal documents to the Driveree App?
To serve legal documents, including complaints and subpoenas, on Driveree, you must send them requests at driveree.com/Legalhelp for service of process. You can send your request with your name and contact details of Driveree Website with specific request in subject and may also attach a legal letter from the government department or from the requesting legal team. It's important to note that our acceptance of the legal process does not waive any legal objections that Driveree may have and may raise in response to the request.
What legal process does Driveree require before disclosing data to private parties?
Generally, Driveree requires a valid subpoena that complies with relevant laws before processing requests for information from private parties. Non-law enforcement subpoenas should be personally served through our registered legal representative for service of process.
What type of requests does Driveree require, and how are they processed?
We carefully review each subpoena to assess its facial and substantive validity. Requests that do not meet these criteria will be rejected. We also require requests to be narrowly tailored and will reject those that are overly broad, vague, or unduly burdensome. Before submitting a request, please check if the information you are seeking is publicly available. To ensure the validity of your subpoena, we ask for the following information:
- A specific and defined time period.
- Unambiguous identification of a merchant, driver, or customer, preferably more than just a name.
- Your contact information, including your name, email address, and/or phone number.
When we determine that we are legally obligated to disclose data in response to a subpoena, we will make reasonable efforts to locate and retrieve the requested data.
Note: We do not respond to emergency requests from non-law enforcement officials. If you are a non-law enforcement official aware of an emergency situation, please contact local law enforcement directly.
