Driveree Pty Ltd ("Driveree," "we," "us," or "our") collects Personal Information (as defined in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) to facilitate the use of its services and improve the Driveree platform. This Privacy Policy outlines how Driveree handles your Personal Information when you use the Driveree website, mobile application, and related services.

If you are a Driveree customer, your use of the Services is subject to the Consumer Terms and Conditions, which define certain terms mentioned in this Privacy Policy. Drivers should refer to the Non Discrimination Policy and Zero Tolerance Policy should refer to the applicable master services agreement between them and Driveree for information on how Personal Information is collected, used, and shared.

1. Collection of Personal Information 

When you use the Services, Driveree may collect Personal Information about you. If you do not provide the necessary Personal Information, we may not be able to provide you with the Services. The types of Personal Information that Driveree may collect include:

1a. Information You Provide Directly 

You may provide Personal Information when using our Services, such as when you register, place orders, contact us, respond to surveys, or interact with our chatbot. This information may include:

  • Personal Identifiers and Records Information: Name, email address, phone number, and address. 
  • Age and Date of Birth: Required for age verification, such as determining eligibility for certain services.
  • Biometric Information: Photos or images of your face, voice, or other biometric data, collected with your consent.
  • Payment Information: Details of your payment method, including the name of your financial institution, billing address, and limited payment card information. 
  • Commercial Information: Details of your orders, including products or services purchased, purchase and delivery dates, and purchasing history. 
  • Other: Ratings provided for Drivers and Merchants.

1b. Information Received as Part of Your Communications

 When you communicate with us through forms, chat, email, phone, or text, we may collect and store information about you, such as your name, contact details, order details, and the nature and purpose of your communication.

1c. Information Collected Automatically 

Driveree may collect and store information about you and your device automatically when you access or use the Services. This information may include:

  • Technical Information: Browser and operating system details, IP address, unique device identifiers, and device type.
  • Site Usage Information: Pages visited, time spent on the Site, search history, and referring web page. 
  • Site Preferences: Information about your preferences through the use of cookies.

1d. Geolocation Information 

Driveree may collect precise location data related to your order, including route information and delivery details. If you allow location access through your device settings or the Driveree app, we may collect your device's precise location to enhance your user experience, provide accurate deliveries, and offer recommendations. You can enable or disable location tracking through your device settings or the Driveree app.

1e. Information From Publicly Available Sources and Third Parties

Driveree may collect information about you from publicly available sources or third parties, such as when you use Facebook or Google to log in to our Services. If you make a purchase through a Merchant offering Driveree delivery, we may receive information about your purchase.

2.Use of Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

Driveree uses cookies, Web Beacons and similar technologies to collect information and personalize your experience. These technologies include:

2a. Cookies

Cookies are small web files that allow a website or provider to recognize your browser and remember certain information. Driveree uses cookies for various purposes, including functioning properly, improving the Services, remembering your preferences, and providing tailored content and advertising. Driveree uses your information to provide the Services, such as processing transactions, delivering orders, and facilitating communication between users, Drivers, and Merchants. Some services may be provided by third parties, and your information may be shared with them to fulfill the requested services.

3b. Maintaining, Improving, and Personalizing the Services

Driveree uses your information to maintain and improve the Services, including auditing, administration, analytics, and personalization. This includes enhancing marketing efforts and tailoring content, features, and recommendations to your interests.

3c. Communication Driveree uses your information to communicate with you, such as providing order status updates, promotional offerings, and responding to inquiries or issues. You can opt out of marketing communications.

3d. Account and Network Security Driveree processes your information to ensure account and network security, detect and prevent fraud, enforce security measures, and verify your identity.

3f. Enforcement of Agreements and Policies Driveree processes Personal Information to enforce its agreements, terms, and policies, including monitoring, investigating, and preventing prohibited activities.

Driveree may disclose your Personal Information to third parties as follows:

4a. Group Companies

 Driveree may provide your Personal Information to its group companies for business purposes, subject to the terms of this Policy.

4b. Service Providers or Third Parties

Driveree may disclose your Personal Information to service providers or third parties to facilitate the provision of Services, such as payment processing, legal bodies, analytics, IT support, customer and support  

4c. Drivers, Merchants, or Other Users 

Driveree may share your Personal Information and order details with Drivers to fulfill your deliveries and with Merchants to fulfill your orders. Information may also be shared with Merchants as part of a Merchant Loyalty Program.

4d. Social Media 

If you link a Social Network account to Driveree or log in using social media, Driveree may collect and share your information with the operator of the Social Network to enhance the delivery of services. The privacy practices of Social Networks are governed by their policies.

4e. Legal Requirements Driveree may disclose Personal Information as required or permitted by law, including to law enforcement agencies, government entities, or in response to legal process.

4f. Corporate Transactions In the event of a business transfer, merger, or similar transaction, Driveree may disclose Personal Information to relevant parties involved in the transaction.

4g. With Your Consent Driveree may share your information with third parties with your consent or at your direction.

5. Security 

Driveree implements security measures to protect Personal Information but cannot guarantee absolute security. Users should also take precautions to protect their information when using the Internet. If you believe your account security has been compromised, please notify Driveree immediately.

6. Data Retention 

Driveree retains Personal Information for as long as necessary to provide services, maintain transaction records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Aggregated and anonymized data may be retained indefinitely.

7. Third-Party Sites

 Driveree may provide certain functionality through third parties and may contain links to other websites not operated by Driveree. Driveree is not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of these third parties. Users should familiarize themselves with the privacy policies of third parties.

8. Social Media Usage 

When linking Social Network accounts or using social media features, users should be aware that their activity is governed by the policies of the Social Network, and Driveree has no liability or responsibility for the privacy practices of Social Networks.

9. Children's Information

Driveree services are not intended for children under 13 years of age, and Driveree does not knowingly collect Personal Information from children. Parents or guardians can contact Driveree to review and request deletion of their child's Personal Information.

10. Your Choices

Registered Driveree users can access or modify certain Personal Information through their account settings. Users can also contact Driveree to access, modify, or deactivate their account. Cookie settings can be managed through web browser controls. Users can opt out of marketing communications.

11. Referral Program or Gift Option 

Driveree offers referral programs and gift options, allowing users to send gifts and invite friends. By participating, users represent that they have obtained the recipient's consent to provide their information to Driveree. Driveree uses this information to send gifts or referral emails. Users should not send false or misleading communications and should not send referral emails to children under 13.

12. International Users

Driveree is an international company, which means that regardless of where you use our Services, the information collected during your use may be transferred to and stored on servers located in countries other than your country of residence, such as Australia. We may occasionally utilize third-party storage providers for this purpose. Since Driveree is based in Australia, any information we gather about you will be stored in accordance with A.U privacy laws, regulations, and standards, which may differ from the laws in your country. By using our Services, you consent to the collection, transfer, storage, and processing of your information in countries other than your own.
